Calligraphy works, now framed

We are in the process of renting and framing works for the calligraphy exhibition at the end of July, which we recently announced.

In our recent blog, we even introduced the backing of the works,

This week, we will finally start the process of putting the works into the rental frames.

We have various sizes of rental frames available.

Frameless panels are also available upon request.

The upper left photo shows the unframed panel and the upper right photo shows the rental frame.

Of course you can choose the color of the back of the piece,

In many cases, these is left up to the mounting artist.

We can choose a blue background or a red background, depending on the artwork,

In addition, a thin stripe called a “fukurin” may be added around the background.

to make the work stand out.

In all of these cases, the experience and taste of the mounting artist are important.

Incidentally, we also discuss orders for hanging scrolls and folding screens,

In many cases, the details are left to us.

How should we tailor them to make the best use of your precious works?

The work of a mounting artist is very deep.
