Traditional Industries in Saitama City
In the booklet “Traditional Industries of Saitama City” published by Saitama City
The information about our mounting store is in the booklet “Traditional Industries of Saitama City” published by the city of Saitama.
This booklet is,
・ stores belonging to traditional industries in Saitama City (eel in Urawa ・ bonsai in Omiya ・ doll stores in Iwatsuki)
・Shops that carry on traditional craft skills (Omiya, Kumihimo, and other traditional crafts influenced by Edo culture, etc.)
・Shops deeply related to regional characteristics (stores that originated from geographical conditions such as the natural environment including the Arakawa River and the inn towns along the Nakasendo Highway) ・Shops that have taken root
The following three categories of stores are listed: ・ establishments,
Our mounting store is listed among the “establishments that are deeply related to the characteristics of the region”.
The reason for this selection seems to be that we had been working for an eel restaurant, a specialty of Urawa, and a famous temple in Urawa, ・ Gyokurain.
Once a year, we have the opportunity to update the information and have changed the contents of the listing this time.
The old booklet had a photo of the president of our mounting store,
In the new page, it has been changed to the appearance of the store.
The front of our store is usually overflowing with plants, as you can see in the picture below,
We thought that the main “shoji screen” was hidden,
I temporarily put the plants away and took this photo.
