Preparing for the calligraphy exhibition

Our mounting store is currently preparing rental frames for the calligraphy exhibition to be held at the end of July.

First of all, we are working on the “backing” of the works.

※ “Backing”: The paper on which the calligraphy is written is too thin and wrinkled to be framed as it is,

A thicker sheet of paper is attached to the back of the work to reinforce it.

The photo below shows the work drying after backing.

This exhibition was held at Saitama Kaikan in the neighborhood of our mounting store in previous years,

Currently, Saitama Kaikan is under renovation and cannot be used,

This year, the exhibition will be held at Tower Hall Funabori in Edogawa Ward, Tokyo.

The venue will be different from previous years, so that all the works can be displayed neatly,

I also draw the drawings for verification. (I fully utilized my previous experience!)

The city was promoted from “Urawa City” to “Saitama City” over 15 years!
