Restoration of folding screens, then

these is the aftermath of the recent restoration of the folding screen.

The bones are laid bare, and a new layer of underlayment and pouch lining is applied.

The dark blue cloth was placed on the back and gold leaf paper was placed on the front.

※Originally, the hinge part is also made of Japanese paper, but this time it is omitted.

The work is completed when the removed frames are reattached and the main paper (the work) is re-stretched.

Except for the bag, everything else is my father’s work. Just to make sure.
