Toward the 73rd Saitama Prefectural Art Exhibition – For those who are planning to exhibit calligraphy works

The Saitama Prefectural Exhibition is approaching again this year.

Many of you may be preparing your works for this year’s exhibition. Especially for those who are planning to exhibit their works of “calligraphy”, mounting store is one of the important elements to maximize the appeal of your works, so please contact us as soon as possible.

The 73rd Saitama Prefecture Art Exhibition (Prefectural Exhibition)

Dates: May 28 (Wed) – June 19 (Thu), 2025, closed on Mondays

Hours: 10:00-17:30

Venue: The Museum of Modern Art, Saitama

We are happy to consult with those who have exhibited in previous years as well as those who are considering exhibiting for the first time, so please feel free to contact us.

We are happy to discuss the dimensions of the work, the size of the frame, the color and material of the matting around the work, whether or not to add stripes, and so on, although of course we are happy to leave these matters up to you,
If you have any requests, we will be happy to discuss them with you.

To be honest, we feel that whether or not your work will be exhibited at the prefectural exhibition depends very little on the ability of the mounting store.
To put it extremely bluntly, no matter how much effort you put into the mounting, and no matter how much money you spend on a prominent mounting ・, your work will still be accepted,
When it is accepted, it is accepted, and when it is not, it is not.

However. I am assuming that there is no evidence at all.

Let’s say that there are two pieces of work that are exactly equal in quality at the time of judging.
One of them has a slightly unusual matte color, or a shiny stripe, or a covering, or some other elaborate detail. That piece may be a little more appealing to the judges.
I sometimes fantasize that there may be at least one work out of hundreds those was selected therefore (lol).
