mounting Technical Skills Festival 2017 Part 1

of the school I attend in my Mounting studies.

The Technical Festival (cultural festival) was held on November 3, 2012,

I exhibited hanging scrolls, Japanese frames, folding screens, and interior panels.

First of all, here are some hanging scrolls.

Normally, when a mounting artist tailors a hanging scroll,

The mounting artist receives the work from the customer and mounts it on a scroll.

The main paper is a picture or calligraphy drawn by the customer,

or a work in a client's collection.

these is a great opportunity for the hanging scrolls at this year's Technical Festival,

I thought I would like to experience what it feels like to be on the customer's side,

I drew the paper myself.

I painted this paper not in the Japanese-style room ・ alcove, but in the Western-style room ・ living room.

I tried to make it a hanging scroll that would not look out of place in a Western-style room, rather than in a Japanese-style room.
