old-fashioned Japanese door frame

When I dismantled the old fusuma mat those was lying in the back of the workshop to throw it away,

When we dismantled the old fusuma, a large amount of old documents came out from the base of the fusuma paper.

In the old days, paper was very precious, so we used old documents as the base of the bran paper.

The documents were reused as the base of the bran paper.

All of the documents were several decades old, but some of them were deeds from government offices and banks,

Are they really documents that are no longer needed? I feel as if they are really no longer needed….

It is fun to imagine how they came to be in the hands of the then-mounting companies.
